Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2025
These terms govern your use of StickIt. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using StickIt, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of service
StickIt is a software tool that helps Australians track work-related expenses, categorise receipts against ATO deduction rules using AI, calculate working-from-home and vehicle claims, and generate end-of-financial-year summary reports. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
3. Not a registered tax agent
StickIt is not a registered tax agent and does not provide personal tax, financial, or legal advice. All categorisations, confidence scores, estimates, and reports are general guidance only and may not reflect your specific circumstances. You should verify all information and consult a registered tax agent or the ATO before lodging your return. We are not responsible for the outcome of any tax return you lodge.
4. User responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter, for keeping your account credentials secure, and for ensuring your use complies with applicable law. You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. You must retain your own records as required by the ATO.
5. Subscription and billing
StickIt offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Founding-member pricing, where offered, applies only while you maintain an active subscription.
6. Refund policy
If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase by emailing us. Refunds are issued at our discretion for the most recent billing period and do not apply to one-off purchases that have already been used to generate a report. This does not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Intellectual property
StickIt, its branding, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data and receipts you upload, and you grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StickIt is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any tax shortfall, penalty, or interest arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law; where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the service or the cost of doing so.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
